About us.
We are a couple who met in our late fourties over a mutual attraction to cheese! We are empty nesters with solid professional backgrounds, and so we like to dine out and enjoy the world. We noticed that many food or travel blogs feature impossibly attractive twenty-somethings, but we wanted to see content from ‘real’ people like ourselves. The blog pages we create are to share what we have experienced, and also to help others understand more about the places and adventures we have had.
We are cheerful and happy people who love life and each other, enjoy wearing red, and hate that our favourite foods make us “grow out” of the same clothes!
Amazing Us
We met when we were in our late fourties. We moved in together after only four months, bought a house together before our third anniversary, and started to travel and enjoy restaurants together almost instantly! Now that we have a home together, our two boys and two girls are living away, so we are empty nesters.
